ATLANTA (July 12, 2016) – The 2016 State of the Nation’s Housing report from the Joint Center for Housing Studies found that multifamily starts reached a 27-year high of 397,000 units in 2015. When combined with the study’s additional finding that multifamily building permits increased in 70 out of the nation’s 100 largest markets, the data indicate that supply might soon catch up with demand.
The potential slowing of apartment demand makes garnering leads even more important to apartment owner/operators. The RentPath network of websites, which includes ApartmentGuide, Rent.com, Rentals.com and Lovely, is connecting more prospective renters with property managers than any other network.
Over the last two years, the RentPath network delivered 46 percent more leads from prospective renters to paying advertisers than the No. 2 apartment listing network. And, according to data comparing a monthly average of well over 400 properties that advertised on both sites, ApartmentGuide delivered 92 percent more leads per property per month than the No. 2 listing website during the first half of 2016.
“We’re breaking records regularly, delivering more leads than ever,” said Marc Lefar, president and CEO of RentPath. “And they’re quality leads that consistently convert to leases as a direct result of the compelling content on our sites.”
Through authentic content and unique tools like Certified Resident Ratings & Reviews®, RentPath helps prospective renters move closer to a rental decision before contacting a property. RentPath is the only listing service that publishes reviews solely from actual residents of a property.
“Prospective renters place greater trust in our reviews because we certify that they are written by actual residents of the community,” Lefar said. “This is a real differentiator and has proven to increase lead quality and conversion rates for our clients.”
In fact, one large management company that advertises more than 240 properties with RentPath doubled its conversion rate after implementing RentPath’s Certified Resident Ratings & Reviews.
