I’ve been described as a “one-stop shop” and I love it.
RentPath’s Sales Team spans across the nation and is made up of multiple smaller teams covering various territories throughout the U.S. I had the pleasure of chatting with top talent Krista Lane, Sr. Sales Executive in Reno, Nevada, about her experience working at RentPath as well as learn more about her hometown.
“Every market is different. Really understanding and knowing the market here (in Reno), planning ahead and doing the prep work, is what sets me up for success. Beyond that, it’s really about having the right attitude.”
I was really curious to learn more as she referenced her hometown since I hadn’t traveled to Reno before. Krista shared some interesting facts about the city:
“Reno is definitely growing but has always been known for a small hometown feel. People who live here are very proud. We even have Nevada Day. All banks and schools are closed on the last Friday of October. There are parades and celebrations throughout Nevada.
Reno was first nicknamed “The Biggest Little City in the World” back in the 1920’s. People who visited expected an old frontier post but they were surprised to see we had a university, a charming downtown area with a cultural, sophisticated air. The nickname has stuck!
Lake Tahoe is only 30 minutes away and we also have the largest industrial park in the world; occupied by Tesla, Panasonic, Switch, Walmart, and many more companies.”
“With any challenges that come my way, I see it as an opportunity to learn. I’ve been with RentPath for 18 years and when you work with a growing company who has gone through a transformation, there will be a lot of changes. I embrace the changes.”
“I think what is going to set someone apart when it comes to succeeding in this space is, yes, while you can do your training, join associations and be more involved in the community, it’s those who have that drive to be the “go-to” resource that go further. I’ve been described as a “one-stop shop” and I love it.”
“I love my peers, we even celebrate little wins and text one another. I also really love my clients – building that relationship and trust is everything. Just the other day, I got a phone call from a client who wanted to share how thrilled she was about getting her first lease for her apartment community. It was such an unexpected call, moments like that make everything I do so worth it.”
“When I’m not working or could use a mini break, I’ll play with my dog, Daisy, or even hop on the back of my husband’s Harley and we’ll go for a quick ride.”
